Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long (Home-stay)
We leave for Vinh Long this morning, where we explore the town. At the town, there are lots of things to photograph, including tropical fruits, vegetables, fish, shrimp, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rodents, and farmers selling their produce.
Next, we alight at a nursery garden where we may savor various seasonal fruits and homemade wine rice. Following that, we enjoy some quiet time, observe traditional homes built of wood and palm trees, and interact with the local farmers as they go about their daily business.
Following lunch at a local residence, we settle into our homestay where we enjoy fruits, tea, and traditional music. Following up on our afternoon's activities, we went riding around the village paths where we saw local farmers, farms, residences, real life, and the traditional methods used in the Mekong Delta to gather fruit.
Later on today, we take part in a cooking class with the proprietors, engage in conversation with them, and unwind in a tranquil homestay. In a Vinh Long homestay, spend the night.
Day 2: Cai Be Town – Ho Chi Minh City
We rise early this morning for a quick breakfast before going to Cai Be town.
After the market, we can visit nearby workshops to observe the production of pop-rice, popcorn, rice paper, and coconut candy. Prior to returning to Ho Chi Minh City, we also stop by a handicraft village where products like fish sauce, soy sauce, cooking salt, and rice nets for spring rolls are made. Our waiting vehicle will transport us back to our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
