Full Itinerary
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival (D)
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will meet the local guide and driver, then transferred to the hotel. Feast on the welcome dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Reunification Palace – Ben Thanh Market (B, L, D)
Get up early in the morning and have breakfast before a half-day visiting the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President Ngo Dinh Diem of South Vietnam (the 1960s – Apr 1975), and some French colonial buildings such as Notre Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Central Post Office. Then, return to the hotel for lunch.
In the afternoon, see the Emperor Jade Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum. We end the city tour with a visit to Ben Thanh Market, a bustling shopping area with a variety of goods such as clothes, food, drink, fruits, souvenirs… and an affordable price. In the evening, have a nice dinner at the Bon Sai cruise on Saigon River.
Day 3: Cao Dai Temple – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L, D)
In the morning, we have breakfast at the hotel and drive west to Tay Ninh province, the center of Caodaism in Vietnam which is the symbol of the perfect combination of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Tourists are allowed to watch from the galleries, take photos; however, silence is requested when a service is taking place.
After having lunch at a local restaurant, on the way back, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a complicated underground system of tunnels built by Vietnamese soldiers during the struggle for independence.
The tunnels used to be living areas, hospitals, even weapon factories, and combat bases. Then, return to Ho Chi Minh City and stay overnight there.
Day 4: My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for My Tho. Take a boat ride along Bao Dinh national canal bordered by rows of traditional houses and fruit orchards. Next, visit My Tho wholesaler fruit marker and then, proceed to Tortoise Island. Lunch is served in a fruit orchard.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride through Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, explore the beauty and uniqueness of Mekong Delta by a boat cruise under the shadow of water coconut trees. Then, you will be taken to a village where you can smell the flavor of coconut candies. This is a great chance to witness how locals make candy and handcrafted items from coconuts.
As your journey ends, return to My Tho by motorboat. Travel to Can Tho, have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Can Tho City. (Homestay can be arranged on request).
Day 5: Cai Rang Floating Market (Can Tho) – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, take a boat trip to visit the Mekong Delta’s largest marketplace...on water, Cai Rang Floating Market. You have the chance to discover the unique culture and the lifestyle of the locals. Keep cruising through small canals and visit local houses. Afterward, experience the “Monkey Bridge" in the Mekong Delta.
Break for lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, return to Ho Chi Minh City, stay overnight there.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) – Departure (B)
The last day is your free time, relax until your transfer to the airport. Your tour from Saigon ends.
