Day 1: Phu My Port – Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City (L)
Start from Phu My port, your guide and driver welcome you with a 2-hour drive to the central of Ho Chi Minh City. The first spot is the Reunification Palace. Serving as the former Presidential Palace for the Southern Vietnamese government, the palace plays an important role in revealing the history of the city. Then, head to War Remnant Museum, home to various photographs, documents, and war objects about the Vietnam War.
After a local lunch, continue to Notre Dame Cathedral and Saigon Old Post Office famous for the French-colonial architectural style. Capture some beautiful photos and enjoy your free time admire these iconic structures before strolling along Chinatown where you can admire the local lifestyle. Next, visit Ben Thanh Market selling traditional handicrafts, local goods, textiles, ao dai, and sample some street foods as afternoon delights.
Taste the beautiful sunset at the Rooftop Bar@Rex Hotel, reward yourself with a cool drink while enjoying the birds-eye view over the city when lights are lit up, making the whole area become amazingly stunning. Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels Tour – Phu My Port (B)
After having breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide and driver again who will be your partners today on the trip to Cu Chi Tunnels. On the way, pass through the countryside with traditional houses surrounding by rice paddy fields and rubber plantations. Take the first step in Cu Chi, get an overview of the tunnel’s history and way to construct by a short introduction video.
Under the guidance of your guide, explore a part of the tunnels which is opened for public. Crawl through the maze of the tunnels were served as the shelter of Viet Cong soldier in the past and numerous of mantraps built for fighting against enemies, and admire the remains of a tank and many bomb craters made by B52 bombers during the war. The trip ends with a return to the port in the afternoon. Your Saigon day tour ends.
