Day 1: Saigon - Ba Ria City - Long Tan Nui Dat Exploration
Embark on a journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Ba Ria City. Upon arrival, meet your knowledgeable local guide at Ba Ria Coop Mart, and head towards Hoa Long village to explore Nui Dat, the base established by the Australian force in 1966. Discover the remnants of the old bunkers, Kangaroo pad, SAS Hill (Nui Dat Hill), and Lusbcome airfield. Pay respects at the battalion's Flag pole.
Continue your excursion to Long Tan village, where you'll visit the Long Tan Cross, a memorial rebuilt by Australian veterans to honor the 18 soldiers who lost their lives in the Battle of Long Tan in 1966. Explore the Horse Shoe, a fire support base, and delve into the history of the Long Phuoc Tunnel at the museum. Return to Ba Ria for the evening.
Day 2: Ba Ria City - Vung Tau - Historical Landmarks and Memorials
Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Vung Tau. Head to the Vung Tau War Memorial, renowned as the largest roundabout in Vietnam. This significant site serves as a tribute to those who made sacrifices for the liberation of the country.
Next, transfer to Ba Ria and visit an orphanage in the town, gaining insights into the local community and their compassionate work.
